Dale V. Fleener, 54, 1420 Edgecomb, died yesterday in Johnson County Hospital at Franklin.
Since 1940, he had been a railroad engineer on the Indianapois Union (Belt) Railroad. He also had worked with Jehovah's Witnesses.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in the G. H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, where friends may call after 7 tonight.
Survivors – wife Ruth; daughters Mrs. Ann Fowler; sons Bruce, Ronald.

Services for Dale V. Fleener, 54, 1420 Edgecomb Avenue, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in G. H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery at Franklin.
Mr. Fleener, a railroad engineer on the Indianapolis Union (Belt) Railway since 1940, died Monday in Johnson County Hospital at Franklin. He was a minister of the Jehovah's Witnesses faith.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Ruth Fleener.
He married Catherine Zook in 1935. Children: Bruce and Florence Ann Fowler. He married second to Ruth Lyday of Indianapolis.
Alternate death date: June 29, 1970. The first obituary says that he died yesterday which would have been June 29th. The stone shows June 30th. The death certificate will clear up this discrepancy.
