William G. Haiss 56, a resident of Ottumwa who was spending the Winter in Phoenix, Arizona died there Thursday. He had spent his entire life in Wapello county.

He was born May 23, 1904 in Richmond, IA.; the son of John and Anna Shipper Haiss. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic church.

Surviving are 2 sisters Mrs. Michael Mahaskey of Ottumwa and Mrs. Eda H. Doll of Parasdise Hill; Sask. Canada; a brother Carl H. Haiss of Paradise, Sask. Canada and several nieces and nephews. Three brothers preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic church Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. with the Rev. J.J. Collins celebrating the Requiem High Mass. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery.

The body will arrive in Ottumwa Sunday and will be taken to the Traul funeral home. Members of St. Patricks parish and friends will meet Monday at 8:00 mp.m. to recite the Rosary.
