Bettie M. Huey, 79, died Sept. 20, 2004. She was born in Lafayette, La., and lived in the Victor Valley for 22 of her 49 years in California. She lived in Victorville for the past 12 years. Bettie was a registered nurse for 35 years in San Gabriel Valley before retiring. She attended Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in Alexandria, La.
She is survived by her sons, Raymond Huey Jr., of Alta Loma, David Huey of Fontana, and Donald Huey of Victorville; daughter-in-law Linda Huey of Alta Loma, grandsons, Jason Fails of Victorville, Aaron and Kevin Huey, both of Rancho Cucamonga, and granddaughter Brynn Huey of Las Vegas, Nev. She had three great-grandchildren.Services will be at 1 p.m. Oct. 2, 2004, at Desert View Funeral Home at 11500 Amargosa Road in Victorville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Laura Ingalls Wilder Memorial Society Inc., P.O. Box 426, DeSmet, S.D. 57231. Desert View Mortuary is handling arrangements.
