Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Richland United Methodist Church in rural Leonore with Rev Suzann Barr officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Tonica.
Visitation will be at 9 a.m. until time of services in the church. Hurst Funeral Home, Tonica is assisting the family.
Mr. Rose was born in La Salle on July 31,1942, to Harold and Arlene (Schroeder) Rose. He married Margaret Steinbach on Feb. 24, 1973.
He attended Tonica Grade School and graduated from Tonica High School in 1960.
Mr. Rose farmed until the late 1980s when he retired and moved to New Hampshire. Even though he left the family farm, he remained a farmer at heart and would return home from time to time to visit family and friends and look over the farm. He was a lifelong member of Richland United Methodist Church.
Mr. Rose is survived by one son, William Rose of Raymond, N.H.; two grandchildren, Calvin and Maggie Rose; one sister, Janet Rose of Tonica; one aunt, Elaine Barr; one uncle, Darrell Chambers, both of Peru; and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials may be directed to Richland United Methodist Church or Tonica Fire and Ambulance departments.
