She was born in the Alabam community of Madison County, a daughter of Lemuel and Julia (Price) Kendall. Mrs. Braswell was the editor of the Star Progress until her retirement in 1965. She was treasurer for the Carroll County Historical Society and a member of the 20th Century Club. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
On April 16, 1922 she was united in marriage with Klute Braswell who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
She passed away in Eureka Springs,AR at the age of 104.
