Frank H. Neal, 83, Norris City, died at 5:55 a.m. Friday, June 6, 2014, at Phoenix Rehab and Nursing in Carmi.
He was born Dec. 21, 1930, in Akin, Ill., the son of Earl and Audrey (Stites) Neal. Frank married Delores Rosan Sanders on March 24, 1950.
He was a truck driver for FS along with operating a car wash and lawn mower
business. Frank was a member of First Baptist Church in Norris City, was a 50 year Mason and member of May Lodge #718, a Shriner and member of the
Teamsters Union.
Frank is survived by: his wife of 64 years, Delores; a daughter, Delana Schutte-Smith and husband Bryan Smith of Newburgh, Ind.; three sons, Dennis Neal and wife Sheilah and Steve Neal all of Norris City and Brain Neal and wife Pat of Benton; two sisters, Loyezelle Whalen of Metropolis and Mildred Smith of Orlando, Fla.; a brother, Arthur Neal of Benton; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Neal.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, June 9, 2014, at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City with Chuck Belcher officiating. Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Norris City.
Friends may call at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Sunday where May Lodge #718 will perform Masonic Rites at 7 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the May Lodge #718 Building Fund and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City.
