Katherine Cooke was born in Westhorpe, Suffolk, England in February 1540/1 and baptised there onFebruary 12, 1540/1. She was the daughter of John Cooke alias Carewe and Alice Carter. She married John Clarke on October 12, 1567 at Westhorpe. They had Seven children, baptised at Finningham and Westhorpe, where they must have moved about 1576. Katherine died in March of 1598 and was buried in the churchyard of St. Bartholemew's Church in Finningham on March 30. John died within a month.
