Eula J. Jackson, 91, of Parsons, died at 8:06 a.m., Sunday, January 19, 2014 at her home.

She was born August 16, 1922 in Nodaway, Adams County, Iowa to Alonzo Ezra and Mary Roxanne (Beals) Zuber. She grew up and attended schools in Nodaway and later moved with her family to Hopkins, Missouri where she attended high school.

On November 25, 1940 she and Ernest Jacob Jackson were married in Maryville, Missouri.

For a time they lived in Taylor County, Iowa before moving to Sheridan, Missouri. They then lived in Hopkins, Missouri and later Carthage, Missouri where they owned and operated Kel-Lake Motel on historic Route 66. They then moved to Minnesota where they operated a dairy farm before returning to Carthage. While living in Wisconsin, they operated a dairy before moving to Breckenridge, Missouri where they farmed and raised cattle.

She was a former member of the Christian Church in Hopkins, Missouri and the Methodist Church in Grant, Iowa. She enjoyed playing the organ.

She was preceded in death by her father, Alonzo Zuber, on August 15, 1968; mother, Mary Roxanne Zuber, on February 1, 1959; husband, Ernest Jackson, on September 4, 1998; four brothers, two sisters, and one granddaughter.
