PORTOLA, Calif. - Ethel Sylvia Bergin died Saturday at a convalescent home in Quincy, California. She was 79. She was born September 7, 1892 in Kansas, and was a resident of Delleker, California from 1934 to 1944.
Surviving are a son, Joe Knapp, and daughter, Willamette Pruter, both of Portola, stepson Buford Bergin, Sacramento, stepdaughter Ellen Marie Hansen, Arizona, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. at the Shady Grove Cemetery in Portola. Arrangements are being handled by the Manni Funeral Home.
