Funeral services for Mae L. Berggren were held at the Mattson Funeral home, Forest Lake, at 2 pm Monday, April 8 with the Rev. N.P. Wold, Trinity Lutheran church, Stillwater, in charge. Music was furnished by Fred Holmquist, soloist, accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Gerald Holmquist. Burial was in the Scandinavian cemetery. Mrs. Berggren, who had suffered a heart ailment for a short time, was stricken in her home Tuesday, April 2 at 6:15 a.m. and died at the age of 65 years, 10 months and 15 days. Mae L. Jepsen, the daughter of Soren S. and Christina Jepsen, was born in Minneapolis May 17, 1891. On October 28, 1914 she married Carl B. Berggren. They lived n St. Paul until 1920 when they came to Forest Lake where they have resided ever since. Mrs. Berggren was a member of the Presbyterian church and of the Lakeview chapter of the Eastern Star. She is survived by her husband, Carl, and children, Milton of Minneapolis; Mrs. Allan (Maurine) Cooley; Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; Mrs. Fred (Tollie) Halverson, Harold W. and Ben C. Forest Lake; Victor of Morocco, North Africa, and Helen M. Berggren, Washington, D.C. Also surviving are 10 grand children. Friends and relatives from out of town also attended the funeral.
