Wesley Lee Stewart, 78, of Poulsbo, passed away on Jan. 28, 2013 in Bremerton. Wes was born on Feb. 3, 1934 in Hutchinson, Kan. to Clarence Lee and Helen Josephine (McWilliams) Stewart. He graduated from Pacific Grove High School in Pacific Grove, Calif. and went on to serve honorably in the Air Force form 1952 to 1956, earning the United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal.

Upon his discharge from the Air Force, Wes achieved the rank of Airman 1st Class. Wes later graduated from Fresno State University earning an MA in business and an MA in administration and used his degree in education administration for 46 years. This career took Wes to international education in Saudi Arabia and interim school administration positions.

On May 4, 1985, Wes married Kathryn Ann (Campbell) Stover. He held memberships in the Association of California School Administration, of which he was a lifetime member, International Schools Administration, Rotary, Lion, the American Legion, California Association of School Business and the Pacific Grove Alumni Association. He spent a lifetime learning, but also enjoyed sports, traveling, boating and public speaking.

Wes was preceded in death by his parents, but his memory will live on with his son, Mark Stewart (Terry) of Aptos, Calif.; daughters, Kathleen Moudy (Ken) of Hayward, Calif. and Rebecca London (Gary) of Reno, Nev.; stepsons, Gene Michael Stover of Seattle and Jason Stover (Karen) of Milledgeville, Ga.; grandchildren, Vincent, Taylor, Melissa, Olivia, John, Lindsey, Michael, and Stewart.
