Daniel T. Landis, 45, of Fredericksburg, died Wednesday, April 9, 2003, at Hill Country Memorial Hospital.
A mass of resurrection was celebrated Friday, April 11, at 1 p.m., in St. Marys Catholic Church with the Rev. Gilberto Vallejo officiating. Interment followed in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Prior to the funeral, the body lay in state in the chapel of Schaetter Funeral Home where a vigil service was held Thursday, April 10, at 6 p.m., with Deacon Louis Loth officiating.
Landis was a landscaping contractor and was born Feb. 25, 1958, in Berwyn, IL, the son of Robert D. Landis and Eleanore Janousek Landis. He married Cathleen Hannan on Oct. 27, 1990, in Las Vegas, NV and she survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his father, Robert D. Landis of Fredericksburg, and his mother and step-father, Eleanore and Herbert Wilton of Fredericksburg.
Landis is also survived by five brothers, two sisters and their spouses, including Deborah Landis, Jeff and Tina Landis and David and Brenda Landis, all of Fredericksburg; Randy and Terri Landis, Tupelo, MS; Julie Landis, Poway, CA; Stephen Landis, Fort Meyers, FL, and Larry Landis, Indianapolis, IN.
