Robert was born on May 18th, 1923 in Cullom, Illinois, the son of Lee Landis and Theresa Clark Landis. Enlisted in the Navy as an Aviation Cadet, V5 on December 15th, 1942 in Washington, D.C. and was discharged on August 12th, 1944 in Iowa City, Iowa. Owner and operator as a contractor of a landscaping business.
Preceded in death a son, Daniel T. Landis, and a brother, Donald Landis
Mr. Landis is survived by five sons, two daughters & spouses: Stephen Landis of Fort Meyers, Florida Larry & Karla Landis of Indianapolis, Indiana Randy & Teri Landis of Tupelo, Mississippi Deborah Landis and Julie Landis both of San Diego, CA Jeff & Tina Landis and David & Brenda Landis all of Fredericksburg
14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren
Two brothers & spouses: Richard & Donna Landis of Chicago, Illinois Bill & Elaine Landis of Florida & Arizona
Graveside services and Interment of his cremains with military honors accorded by the United States Navy will be held on Saturday, July 9th, 2011 at 10:30 A. M. in the Greenwood Cemetery in Fredericksburg
