His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Duffy Funeral Service, Roanoke, the Rev Thomas Diamond officiating. Burial will be in Secor Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 o'clock tonight and an hour before the service Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Moritz was born May 16, 1910, in Roanoke Township, a son of John J. and Fenna Woltzen Moritz. He married Talitha Heyungs Nov. 30, 1933, in Secor.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, Larry, Rome, Ill. and Jerry, Eureka; a daughter, Mrs. Peggy Heller, Secor; a brother, David Moritz Sr., Benson; two sisters, Mrs. Greta Ekiss, Roanoke, and Mrs. Emma Barth, Flanagan, and six grandchildren. Three brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
Mr. Moritz was an employee of Caterpillar Tractor Co. at East Peoria for 31 years and for the past seven years was owner of the B. and G. Meat Market in Secor.
Memorial contributions may be made to St John's Lutheran Church, Secor.
