Dorothy Hester Kennedy, 89, widow of A. Ryan Kennedy, died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2000, at a local nursing home.
Born in Augusta, Ga., she was a daughter of the late Herbert Harrison Hester Jr and Marion Galloway Hester.
She lived most of her life in Sumter, where she retired from Wachovia Bank and was for years an avid golfer at Sunset Country Club. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church of Sumter.
