William Rouw and Aaltje Spyker lived in Ede, Holland. They had two sons: Albertus Rouw, July 23, 1877 Mar. 16, 1933; and Everett Rouw Mar. 26, 1886 - Feb., 1913. Albertus and Everett came to America in 1913 with their families.

She was the daughter of Gerrit Jan and Willempje Vande Pol Plate of Ede, Gelderland, The Netherlands. They came to America in 1913 on the Quem Mary with eight children, settling on a farm near Sully. Later they lived in Eddyville. Otley, Pella and Oskaloosa, all of these in Iowa.Five more children were born in America. When the parents died, they were buried in Oakwood Cemetery in Pella, la. The children were: Aaltje, Gerrit, Willempje, William, Willemina, Willem, Gerald, Cornelia, Evert, Johanna, Albertus, Dick, Cornelius and Esther.

They had four children, Linda, Lloyd, Larry and Lee, who died Sept. 2, 1975. Edna Van Wyk married Vernon Van Ee in 1987. Sylvia Joyce was born June 20, 1931, and married Halbert Laird on June 20,1952. Their children are Avon Michael and Joseph Craig. Tunis Goemaat married Aug. 18, 1936 to Rachel Kolenbrander. They had one daughter Donna Mae born on Dec. 19, 1939. Her children are Jeffrey, Jane, and Marv.

Gary Dean and his wife Eleanor had children Dena, Bruce and Scott. Doris Jeanne has children Cindy and Mike.

Their children were: Connie June, born and died Jan. 3, 1945; Daryl Lynn born June 17, 1947, married Marilyn Joy Cline on Aug. 17, 1974, had one daughter, Jessica Beth Barnard, who was born July 26,1977; Judy Anne, born Dec. 2, 1953, and who resides in Pella.
