William Sayre and Alice Squire were married about 1528 in Bedfordshire.

Their children:

Alyce Sayer born about 1529 in Hinwick.

William Sayre born about 1535 in Hinwick.

Thomas Sayre born about 1536 in Odell.

Agnes Sayre born about 1538 in Odell.

NOTE: Her will leaves a bequest to "wyllm sayer the yonger & unto Robt sayer chyldren of wyllm sayer the elder." Surely she would have written, "my son William Sayer " rather than "William Sayre the elder" if he was her son. He could be the cousin of her late husband, referred to in his will as William Sayre my cousin. It might explain why Robert has been erroneously added as her son.* That she had two daughters both named Alice isn't supported by her will, nor the earlier will of her husband. Both wills name just one daughter named Alice, Alice West. Alice wife of John Wheeler wasn't her daughter!
