Mrs. Charles Durham

Anna M. Bolton, daughter of Charles and Phoebe Bolton, was born in Mumfordsville, Ken., December 4, 1854 and passed away June 8, 1939, at the home of her daughter northwest of Superior, Neb., at the age of 84 years, 6 months and 4 days.
In her girlhood she came north to Illinois with her parents. At Pawnee, Ill., she met Charles Durham to whom she was united in marriage April 12, 1877. They were blessed with a long happy life together celebrating their golden wedding anniversary April 12, 1927. Her husband preceded her in death November 24, 1927. Mrs. Durham was the last living member of her family.
She was converted in early life and united with the Baptist church.
She is survived by three sons and three daughters: W.E. Durham of Republic, Mrs. Effie Hayes of Superior, Neb., Charles Durham of Lincoln, Phil Durham of Superior, Neb., Mrs. Mae Davis of Clayton and Mrs. Anna Huddle of Denver Colo.; 24 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. All of her children except one were at her bedside when she passed away. One daughter, Elizabeth Owens, died at the age of 27 years.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the United Brethren church in Republic conducted by the Rev. Pettibon with burial at the Washington cemetery.
