Eleanor was the daughter of Zenos H. and Edith L. Mitchell Manifold.
She graduated from Fawn Township H.S in 1916 and from Millersville State Teachers College in 1921. She attended Penn State University from 1931-1933. She taught in Fawn Township for 5 and 1/2 years, in Manchester Township for 3 and /12 years and was a special education teacher in the Franklin School in York for 30 years.
She was preceded in death by three husbands: Arthur Henderson, William J. Beck and Clarence Keefer. Her daughter, Catherine E. Henderson Boland also predeceased her.
She was survived by three sisters: Mrs. Mary H. Martsellar of Stewartstown; Mrs. Rebecca Weaver of New Freedom and Mrs Mabel Strawbridge of York.
