L. E. (Peach) Jones, one of our oldest employees in years and point of service, retired August 31st. Peach came here May 14, 1920, and chalked up over 41 years service since then.

For 21 years he was a turret lathe operator in the machine shop, where he used to say he "wore out two machines." In 1941 he transferred to Gas Regulator assembly, and has worked there up to the present. Peach was a charter member of both the Ten Year and Twenty Five Year clubs, and has been a president of the Twenty Five Year Club.
