Williston, March 29 [1923] -- Marion Cook, 62 years old, died at te home of his daughter, Mrs J W Roberts, on Hampton Avenue, Blackville, Thursday afternoon, March 22. Mr Cook's death came as a shock to the community. He was apparently engaged in conversation with his daughter when death occurred.
Mr Cook moved to Blackville from Sumter county about 30 years ago and made many friends during his residence here who mourn his death.
The funeral services were conducted by the Rev L H Miller, pastor of the Blackville Baptist Church, and interment followed in the Blackville Cemetery.
