Amos McCord Passes Away, Rites Tuesday

Funeral services for Amos L. McCord, 72, who died Saturday at his home in Anderson will be conducted Tuesday morning at the Brown and Butz funeral home. The Rev. S. E. Hollowell of the Westside Tabernacle will officiate.

He was a member of the Westside Holiness Taberbacle and was a retired farmer. He moved from Perkinsville to Anderson several years ago. He was born south of Frankton, Sept 9, 1890 to William and Myra McCord.

Survivors include: the widow, Hazel; a son, Virgil W. McCord; two step daughters, Mrs. Dolly M. Stout and Mrs. Myrtal Morris of Anderson; a step son, William F. Russell of Union City; a brother, Henry, and a sister, Mrs. Hattie Harless, both of Elwood; 22 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
