Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Grace Marie Jackson, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2014 at the age of ninety-four.

Grace was born October 16, 1919 in Nephi, Utah to Brigham and Zola Christensen Garrett. Grace grew up in Nephi and graduated from Juab High School.

She married Jack D. Malloy in 1940; he died in WWII in 1943. They had one daughter, Lynda (Gail) Skidmore. On September 6, 1948, she married Russell Henry Jackson; their marriage was solemnized on December 17, 1982 in the Provo Utah Temple. They have five children, Russell Kent (Marianne), George R. (Jill), Dale G. (Vicki), Pamala (Chad) Brinkerhoff, and Shirley (Steve) Gomez.

Russ and Grace raised their six children on their family dairy farm in Nephi, Utah. Mom loved Nephi. Though her home has been with her daughters for the past ten years, Nephi is the only place she called home. We will miss her quiet, kind, sweet service that she so freely gave to us. She has truly blessed our lives.

Preceded in death by her husband; parents; five sisters, Rhoda, Pearl Dahlen, Blanche Pitt, Geneva Molyneaux, and Marjorie Nielson; four brothers, Floyd, Lawrence, Roger, and Max; and one grandson, Gail R. Skidmore, Jr. Survived by her children, twenty-three grandchildren, forty-four great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, and her brother, DeWayne (Elaine) Garrett.

The family would like to thank Dr. Sharon Strong and Silverado Hospice for the kind loving care they gave our mother these past several months.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 2, 2014 in the Nephi Sixth Ward Building, 350 North 100 West, Nephi. A viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at Anderson Funeral Home, 94 West 300 North, Nephi, and one hour prior to the services at the church.
Interment will be in the Nephi Vine Bluff Cemetery.
