George Brock, 85, of Spartanburg, SC, died Thursday, May 29, 2014.

Born July 25, 1928, son of the late Eli Brock (1898–1968) and Vinia E Howard Brock (1906–1975); husband of the late Leatha Marie "Connie" (Aceves) Brock (1932–2012).

Faithfully served his country during WWII as a Private 1st Class in the US Army Air Corp.; retired from Detroit Steel after 30 years of service, was a faithful member of the Dearborn Church of God, Dearborn Heights, MI, where he served as an Elder and building committee member.

Survived by four daughters, nine grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.

Predeceased by three brothers, Riley Brock (1921–1966), Stokey Brock (1924–1989), Rhondal Brock; and two sisters, Florine Brock Buell (1924–2013) and Jewel Brock.

The family received friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Saturday, May 31, 2014, at Dunbar Funeral Home.

Funeral service immediately followed at 12:00 PM in the chapel, officiated by Reverend John Petty and Bishop Daryl Kerce.

Interment with military honors held at 11:00 AM, Monday, June 2, 2014, in the MJ "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery, Anderson, SC.

Memorials could be made to the Fairforest Church of God, Spartanburg, SC.
