Anthony was a son of Anton & Johanna Wilhelm. He was born in the community of Williamsburg (part of Kitchener now) in 1849.

He was married 3 times during his lifetime.

1st Marriage to Regina Moser (1849-1890) on Oct. 04, 1870 in Berlin, Waterloo County. Marriage Register #047422.
She gave him 9 children before she died.

2nd Marriage to Magdalena Wendling (1862-1906) on Nov. 09, 1892 in New Germany (Maryhill), Woolwich Twp; Marriage Register #012050. Magdalena gave Anthony another 6 children to raise.

3rd Marriage to Mary Tauss (1868-1928) on Oct. 09, 1907 in Berlin, Waterloo County. Marriage Register #020498. Mary gave birth to one child for him.
