Obituary from Idaho State Journal (Pocatello, ID) - 11 October 2007:
INKOM — Patricia “Pat” Whiting Anderson, 67, of Inkom, Idaho, passed away on October 8, 2007, at her home after a long and courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by family and friends.
She was born April 6, 1940, to Josephine and Leland Whiting in Spanish Fork, Utah.
She married Jack B. Anderson on December 29, 1960. From this union two beautiful children, Kristie Ann and Eric Lamont, were born.
She was a cosmetologist by profession as well as a physical therapist assistant.
The family spent many funfilled days with Grandma doing the things she loved, golfing, baking , gardening, four-wheelers and motorcycles and whatever else the crazy woman could think of.
She is loved by her five grandchildren, Jake (Tiffany) Larsen, Priest River, Idaho, Jennifer (Nate) Solomon, Inkom, Idaho, Dannielle (Matt) Eyre, Rexburg, Idaho, Heather Larsen, Kuna, Idaho, Whitney Anderson, Idaho Falls, Idaho, along with four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, mother, and stepfather, Douglas Sheets, whom she loved so dearly. She is survived by her husband, Jack; daughter, Kristie (Kuna, Idaho), and son, Eric (Nghia) Anderson (Las Vegas, Nevada), stepbrother, Grant (La-Ree ) Sheets (Lebanon, Oregon).
There is not one person who has ever met Granny and not loved her. All of those who got that chance, you know who you are, and please know that you are loved and appreciated by the entire family.
Funeral services will be provided by Colonial Funeral Home, and be held Saturday, October 13, 2007, starting at 11 a.m. at the Inkom LDS Church, Inkom, Idaho, with Bishop Gordon Lish presiding. Services will continue at Archer-Sutton Cemetery in Archer, Idaho.
