and Rehab Center. A native of Washington County, she was
born October 17, 1917 to the late Robert Adams and Eliza
Jane Lambert Ross. She was a member of Mt. Freedom
Baptist Church and a homemaker. Survivors include: her
husband, Johnny Ancil Beavers; two daughters, Mrs. Marvin
(Judy) Carey, Cardwell, and Mrs. Leonard (Carolyn) Walston
of Mt. Washington; two grandsons, Tim and Chris Walston;
and three great-grandchildren, Cody Walston, Alyssa Walston
and Ty Walston. She was preceded in death by three
brothers, James Wagoner Ross, Ben Ross and Robert D.
Ross, and two sisters, Mattie Coslow and Almeda Young.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 17, at Mt.
Freedom Baptist Church, with Rev. John McDaniel, officiating.
Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery in Willisburg. Pallbearers
were Tim Walston, Chris Walston, Mike Byrd, Ray Craig, Ed
Redmon, Jimmy Dale Hawthorne, Henry Beavers and Junior
Burkhead. Carey and Son Funeral Home, Springfield, was in
charge of arrangements.
