Marjorie Lucille Bryant, 82, a longtime resident of Grandview, went to join her Heavenly Father and her husband, Norris, on Thursday, May 22, 2014. Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Greenwood Chapel. Interment: 2:30 p.m. in Covington Cemetery in Covington. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Greenwood. Marjorie showed grace, determination and dignity during her battle with cancer, with her loving family beside her. Her love lives in her children, family, and friends. She had a love and passion for child care that motivated her to be active in Catholic Charities as a child caregiver. Later in life, she was a caregiver assisting the elderly. She had a lifelong passion for caring for children. Her sincere Christian faith and devotion to her family were evident to all who met her. She was the best wife, mother and grandmother that anyone could have. I did not leave you; I will be with you always, in your thoughts, in your deeds, in your hearts and in your memories. The spirit longs for the body, and the body longs for the spirit. But I have been talking to my angel, and it was my time to leave this earth. Don't fear for me, as there was no time for pain. If you wish to remember me, do it with a good thought or a good deed. And I will be here with you. Don't say "goodbye" to me today. Live in the ways of our Father in heaven. And just say I will see you later. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Norris T. Bryant; father, Hiram Tidwell; mother, Eliza Tidwell; sisters, Merlene Clark and Nelda Cline; brothers, Charles Tidwell and Leonard Tidwell; and a granddaughter, Sherry Potter. Survivors: Daughters, Betty Wilson, Joyce Ruiz and husband, Ray, Shirley Martin-Ellis and husband, Geronimo, and Marjorie Wisniski and husband, Jim; sons, Alton Bryant and Jerry Bryant; grandchildren, Jackie Hammonds, Charlotte Lawrence, Ray Patrick Ruiz, Rachel Ruiz, Kelli Ruiz, Chris Bryant, Andrea Bryant, Newton Martin-Ellis, Jarad Martin-Ellis, Misty Morgan, John Ross Brendle, Daniel Brendle and Justin Wisniski; 11 great-grandchildren; many other loving family members, including nieces and nephews; and her special companion, "Dandy," her Chihuahua.
