Mrs William E Walsh
Mrs Mary Walsh, 60 years old, wife of William E Walsh, attorney and mother of Chief Justice William C Walsh, of the Fourth Judicial Circuit of Maryland, died at her home 601 Washington Street Sunday morning at 3:20 o'clock, following an illness of three months. Other surviving children are Rt Rev James E Walsh, head of the Catholic Foreign Mission Society of America in China with rank of prefect apostolic at the Province of Koon Moon, near Canton; Miss Mary W Walsh, public librarian of Cumberland; Sister Joseph, Order of Notre Dame, Porto Rico; Sister M Rosalia, Mission Helpers of the Sacred Heart, Towson; John F Walsh, General Manager, Secretary and Treasurer Cumberland Credit Company; William E Walsh, Jr, at home; Miss Julia S Walsh, dietician, St Agnes Hospital, Baltimore; Margaret E Walsh, student at St Joseph's College, Emmittsburg and also by Sister St Julia, Mt Carmel Convent, New Iberia, Louisiana. Mrs Walsh was a member of St Patrick's Catholic Church. She was a graduate of Mt Carmel Convent, Thibodeaux, La. Her parents were John Concannon, sugar planter and Confederate soldier and Julia Walsh Concannon, natives of Ireland, who settled in Louisiana. Mr and Mrs Walsh were married May 17, 1888 in Louisiana. Funeral services will take place tomorrow morning at 9 o'clock from St Patrick's Church with interment in the church cemetery with solemn high mass of requiem. Pallbearers will Henry J Glick, Michael F O'Neill, Hugh A McMullen, Sr, John Keating, Richard F Coyle and Thomas P Kenny. Rev Father O'Shea of Maryknoll, who was in China with Rev Father Walsh and John Coulehan, student at Maryknoll and all the Walsh children excepting Rev Father Walsh and Sister Joseph, Porto Rico, son and daughter, are here to attend the funeral.
