VERMILION - Corinne V. Hevener (nee Brandt) age 66 and a resident of Vermilion, died Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at New Life Hospice, Lorain, after a brief illness.

She was born April 2, 1946 in Cleveland, to the late George and Viola Brandt. Corinne resided in Vermilion for the past three years moving from Lorain where she had lived for several years.

Corinne was a member of St. Peter United Church of Christ, Amherst. She was a bookkeeper and in 2010 retired from the Lorain County Alcohol and Drug Administration. Prior to that, Corinne was employed at the W.G. Nord Center, Lorain. Corinne enjoyed reading and most of all, spending time with her granddaughter.

Survivors include her son Mark Hevener of Vermilion and daughter Angela (Robert) Marsh of Lorain, her granddaughter Kayla Hevener, three sisters; Joanne Kralik of Miami, Florida, Lynn (Barry) Dillon of Amherst, Charlene Fairchild of Dallas, Texas, and her brother Ron (Shirley) Brandt of Amherst.

There will be no visitation or service. Cremation arrangements entrusted to the Garland-Misencik Funeral Home, Amherst and Cromco Services, Elyria.

In Corinne's memory the family requests that memorials be made to New Life Hospice, 5255 North Abbe Rd., Elyria, OH 44035.
