Ida Conway Dunavant was a daughter of Edmund W. Dunavent and Nuell Smith. She was a granddaughter of William H. Dunavant and Amanda Hyten. She was my 5th cousin once removed.The History of Callaway County:

Miss Ida Conway Dunavant was the daughter of Edmund and Nuell Smith Dunavant. She was born December 1906 in Fulton.

Miss Dunavant was never married. She discovered books at a young age and they became her greatest friends.

Miss Dunavant graduated from Fulton High School and William Woods College. She became a school teacher. She was active in church and civic organizations but she never enjoyed good health.

Miss Dunavant suffered a massive stroke and died at the age of 28 years. She died at the Callaway County Hospital on January 11, 1935.

She is survived by her mother, two brothers and two sisters.

She was preceded in death by her father

Ida Conway Dunavant, 28, of Fulton, died at 11:30am on January 11, 1935 at her home.

Dr. R.N. Crews, of Fulton, pronounced death due to Cerebral Hemorrhage. The informant was Shirley Dunavant, sister-in-law of the deceased.

Miss Dunavant was born December 9, 1906, in Fulton, the daughter of Edmund and Nuell (Smith) Dunavant, born in Missouri and Kentucky. She was single and was a sales girl and a school teacher.

Undertaker was Herndon-Taylor Furniture Company in Fulton. Burial was in the Hillcrest Cemetery.
