Ida Conway Dunavant was a daughter of Edmund W. Dunavent and Nuell Smith. She was a granddaughter of William H. Dunavant and Amanda Hyten. She was my 5th cousin once removed.∼The History of Callaway County:

Miss Dunavant was never married. She discovered books at a young age and they became her greatest friends.
Miss Dunavant graduated from Fulton High School and William Woods College. She became a school teacher. She was active in church and civic organizations but she never enjoyed good health.
Miss Dunavant suffered a massive stroke and died at the age of 28 years. She died at the Callaway County Hospital on January 11, 1935.
She is survived by her mother, two brothers and two sisters.
