Mrs. Alma Fletcher Skipper of Irwinville died Friday , November 24, 2000, at Dorminy Medical Center. She was 82.

Mrs. Skipper was born July 27, 1918, in Irwin County, the daughter of the late Alberta Sessoms Allie and Ebb George Fletcher. She was a member of Irwinville United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Skipper had lived in the community since 1964. She was a graduate of cosmetology school in Jacksonville, FL. She owned a beauty shop in Greencove Springs, FL and Washington, D. C.

Mrs. Skipper had been a former employee of Stanley Tool Company of Omaha, NE, an apartment manager in Miami Beach, FL. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and Amarath.

Survivors include her husband, Calvin J. "Skip" Skipper of Irwinville and two nieces, Patsy Sumner of Fitzgerald and Tammy Simmons of Irwinville.

Services were held at Paulk Funeral Home Chapel of Fitzgerald.
Interment was held at Irwinville Cemetery of Irwin County.

Paulk Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
