---This morning, at 9 o'clock, occurred the death of James Wilson McCaughey at his home seven miles north of this city in Jackson township. Deceased was 78 years and 7 months old, and the cause of death was paralysis. He leaves a wife and three daughters to mourn his demise. The children are Mrs. Marvin Richards, and Mrs. Jacob Christian, of Roanoke, and Mrs. Henry Silvers, of this city. The funeral will occur Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock from the Lutheran church in Jackson township, and the interment will be made in the cemetery near the church.
