RIVERTON, KANSAS: Larry Wayne Dugan entered into eternal rest May 21, 2014 at 2:48 PM.

He was born April 16, 1938 in Galena, KS to Val and Hazel (Morris) Dugan.

Larry attended Galena schools grade 1-12 and graduated with the class of 1956.

He attended PSU a short time along with several other courses.

He joined the US Army in May 1958 and served six years of active duty and reserves, receiving an honorable discharge.

On June 27, 1958 Larry and Iris Luton were united in marriage (almost 55 years).

Larry was a member of the First Baptist Church of Galena, and was a member of the Ambassador Quartet for several years.

He was a plumber pipe fitter by trade. He was employed by Stanley Plumbing of Joplin, BF Goodrich Tire CO of Miami, OK, Union Wire Rope of KC, MO, and retired from Joplin R VIII School system in 2000.

Larry is survived by his wife, of the home, along with two children. Tracy D. White (Wayne), of Joplin, MO, and Todd Wayne Dugan of Riverton.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Garry M. and Kenneth Alan Dugan.

Larry's love was hunting, traveling, and spending time in the mountains. He also enjoyed photography and won several awards for his photos.

He truly loved his family, had a host of friends, enjoyed a good time, and had a zest for life.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 am, Wednesday May 28, 2014 at Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS. Pastor Paul Mooney will officiate.

Burial will be in Hill Crest Cemetery, Galena, KS.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 pm, Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS.
