ECRU – Charles Ray Botts, 66, died Monday, May 19, 2014, at his home. He was born Aug. 26, 1947, in Union County, the son of William Hollis and Maudie Lee Carter Botts. He was a member of Ellistown Baptist Church, a truck driver and a graduate of East Union High School. He was an Army veteran. His favorite hobby was fishing.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Glenfield Funeral Home in New Albany with Bro. Andy Russell officiating.

Survivors include a son, Mitchell Botts of Etta; a daughter, Jennifer Ivy (Ben) of Ecru; two sisters, Faye Wade (Joe) of Tupelo and Bonnie Malone of Ellistown; stepson, Mike Warren (Aymber); stepdaughter, Holly Whitworth, both of Mooreville; and 10 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Donna Botts; and two brothers, Billy Wayne Botts and James Neal Botts.

Visitation will be noon until 2 p.m. Wednesday.
