She was married to Kenneth Patchen in September 1968. He predeceased her by one year and 10 days. They had no children. Cheryl was an elementary school teacher until her retirement. Cheryl was a Girl Scout leader as a young woman and continued a full life in sports including hiking, snow skiing and sports all her life. Cheryl's memorial was attended at her home by nearly 100 friends and relatives, a woman who was liked and will be remembered by all.
