Loretta Bryant, 86, of Bloomington passed away at 11:10 a.m. Saturday (May 17, 2014) at her home with her daughter by her side.

She was born on Nov. 27, 1927, in Fogertown, Ky., to Dewey and Lillie Fields Westerfield. She married James Norvel Bryant on Oct. 8, 1948. He preceded her in death.

Surviving are her daughter, Mary Bryant, Bloomington; four grandchildren, Lisa (Robert) Stretch, El Paso; Scott (Shana) Bundy, Bloomington; Chris (Karen) Bryant, Pleasant Prairie, Wis.; and Jennifer Johnson, Denver, Colo.; 10 great-grandchildren with one on the way; sister, LeEtta Brockway, Bloomington; and her companion, Al Thompson, Bloomington.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; daughter and son-in-law, Ruby (Michael) Bundy; granddaughter, Amy McCubbins; and brother, Aaron Westerfield.

Loretta worked at Beich's Candy Company and at Eureka Williams Manufacturing in Bloomington before retiring.

She loved to travel, gamble, baby-sit her great-grandchildren and spend time with her family. Loretta was very loving and caring for others and her door was always open.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at East Lawn Funeral Home in Bloomington with the Rev. Grant Armstrong officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Bloomington.
