Born April 22, 1898, in Homer City, Pa., he was a son of Julia Ann Fritz Kunkle and the late George Israel Kunkle. His early life was spent in Homer City and for the past 21 years he had resided near Dixonville on a farm.
Surviving are: His mother of 237 Elm St., Homer City; one daughter, Mrs. Harry (Mary) Smith, Pittsburgh; one brother, Floyd I. Kunkle, Clymer, RD 1; five sisters: Mrs. Sherman (Florence) Cox of Washington, D.C.; Mrs. Eldora McAvoy, Indiana, Pa.; Mrs. Margaret Kunkle, Homer City; Mrs. Jas. (Ann) Matthis, Cleveland, Ohio; Mrs. John (Jean) Douglass, Indiana RD 4; and two grandchildren.
Friends will be received after 1:00 p.m. today (Monday) at Robinson-Lytle's, Indiana, where services will be conducted Tuesday, April 14, at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. J. I. Thomas will officiate and interment will follow in Coral Chapel Cemetery.
