She was first married to Silas Dudley on Oct. 9, 1803 in Falmouth. Silas and Thankful had two children, Caroline and Charles. Her husband was a merchant, with a dry goods store on 14 Court Street in Boston. Unfortunately, Silas died young at age 35, in 1812. Probate records show his estate at $2,691 when settled on Mar. 8, 1813.
Widow Dudley later married William Endicott on Nov. 3, 1814. They had one child together, Charlotte Endicott. Thankful and William resided in Cambridge. William was a merchant tailor on State Street. William was 12 years old when his father, Capt. William Endicott of Salem, died in the West Indies. He was brought up by Robert Endicott, a Beverly tailor.
Thankful died at the age of 53, in Cambridge, in 1835.
She was re-interred on July 31, 1846 after the death of her second husband, William, and she is buried with him in Mount Auburn Cemetery which was founded in Cambridge in 1831.
