OBITUARY:
MRS. MINNIE C. PATTERSON, 85, formerly of 23 Philadelphia Ave., died at 11:35 a.m. Wednesday at Franklin Farms where she had been a guest since July 1960. She had been bedfast the entire time and had been critically ill for the past two weeks.
Mrs. Patterson was born August 8, 1876, at Beartown, Waynesboro R.D. 4, a daughter of the late Jacob and Margaret (Baer) Cordell. Her early life was lived at Waynesboro R.D. 4 and following her marriage the family moved to Baltimore.
She had made her home in Waynesboro 42 years prior to entering Franklin Farms.
Her husband, Berry B. Patterson, died in June 1950.
She was a member of the Pen Mar U.B. Church.
She is survived by the following children: Charles P. Wolfe, Hagerstown; David Wolfe, Edward Patterson, Charles Patterson, Mrs. Margaret Sheffler and Mrs. Mary Reardon, all of Waynesboro; Mrs. Marie Downin, Rouzerville; Raymond Patterson, Kinston, N.C.; Mrs. Ethel Emory, Pen Mar, and Herman Patterson, York. She is also survived by 30 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday from the Grove Funeral Home in charge of the Rev. Ralph Wise. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
