He was born April 24, 189, in Mount Sterling, Ky., the son of Mrs. and Mrs. John S. Crain. He was married Aug 13, 1910, to Gertrude Mae Todd in Maysville, Ky., and they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1960.
Survivors are his widow; three daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Lorena) Luedtke, and Mrs. Arthur (Gladys) Thurow, Woodstock, and Mrs. Sam (June) Gabrielson, Dayton, Ohio; a son, Kenneth, Woodstock 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the PIerce-Bier Funeral Home with the Rev. C.C. Urch officiating. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
Burial will be in McHenry County Memorial Park Cemetery.
