Mrs. Hollis was the daughter of John Cone and Elsie Rivers Nixon of Fairfax. She was born in Allendale County, but had lived in Columbia for 35 years. She was a member of the Green Street Methodist Church here. Survivors include besides her husband; one daughter, Mary Louise Hollis; two sons, William Edward and Frank R. Hollis; all of Columbia; four brothers, J. C. Mixon, Claude R. Mixon, and Rudolph J. Mixon, all of Columbia, and Cecil C. Mixon of Yeadon, Pa.; one aunt, Mrs. George F. Young of Fairfax; seven nieces and one nephew. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 Sunday afternoon from the Dunbar Funeral Home by Dr. M. K. Medlock. Burial will be in Crescent Hill Memorial Park.
