L P Davis Former Fire Captain Dies.
Capt. Lawrence P Davis, 72, a Seattle fireman 40 years, died yesterday at the home of his son, Harold A Davis, 5251 16thy Ave N.E.
Captain Davis was born in Joplin, MO. He had been a Seattle a resident for 56 years. His three sons also are Seattle firemen.
At the time of Captain Davis' retirement in 1946, he was the only family in Seattle with four men in the Fire Department. He was a member of the Retired Firemen's Association.
Survivors are the three sons, Harold A,, William J and Stanley F Davis, all of Seattle; two sisters, Mrs. Katherine Rogers and Mrs. Phoebe Irons, both of Seattle and four grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are being made by Wiggen & Sons Mortuary.
