This is a quote from her daughter, ""Grandpa Crawford lived about five miles from Torrent. When my mom and dad came to Kentucky, Grandpa met them at Torrent with a wagon and team of horses, to take them to Bobbysridge. Uncle Glen and Aunt Mary lived there. Sometimes they would go to Winchester and they had to ride horses to Torrent to catch the train. Roads were to bad for cars. My mother was the first woman to drive a car in Lee Co. There was a article written about her in the paper". Marie and Claude were married in 1923 in Kentucky. They had two daughters.
