She was born in 1905 in Wayland, New York, and later resided in Dansville, NY. She graduated from the Robert Packer Hospital School of Nursing in 1928 and worked in Tioga General Hospital at Waverly for 30 years.
She was predeceased by her husband, Harold S. Smith and a son, Genejo, who was killed in the Korean War.
Surviving are a son, Steve Smith; a sister, Ruth Black of Dansville; a brother, Clarence Jackman of Dansville; four grandchildren and one great-grandson; nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted Saturday in Sayre, Pa. (Genesee Country Express of New York, March 2, 1989, p9)
