Funeral services for Rush Sherwood, who died Saturday morning, May 11, at his home at 327 N. Pine, were held Tuesday at the First Baptist Church. Burial was in Union Corners cemetery.
Mr. Sherwood was born in Momence July 4, 1867 and was a lifelong resident of the area. He retired from his farm 30 years ago, moving to Momence.
He was married to the former Emma Morman, Jan. 31, 1890 in Momence. Survivors include his wife, six children, 11 great grandchildren and a brother, Grant of Independence, Kan., and a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Kathryn H. Sherwood. A son preceded him in death.
The Canaday-Boos Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
