Kentucky New Era obit posted 21 Sept 1985 reads as follows:

Maxie Heywood Oliver, 64, Cadiz, died at 5:30am today at Trigg County Hospital after an illness of four weeks.

Services will be at 2pm Monday at Goodwin Funeral Home with the Revs. Dr. Harold Skaggs and Ronnie Sivells officiating and burial in Trigg Memory Acres.

Visitation will begin at 4pm Sunday at the funeral home.

A native of Lyon County, he was born Feb. 27, 1921, the son of the late Fount P. and Mary Lucy McCormick Oliver. He was a painter and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of East Cadiz Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Emma Lee Oliver; a son, Jackie O. Oliver, and a daughter, Connie Jo Frye, both of Cadiz; four sisters, Ive Oliver, Lena "Jack" Proffitt, and Virginia Oliver, all of Cadiz, and Lois Pennington, Louisville; and four grandchildren.
