Evelyn "Eve or Evie" (née Fagan) Knowles Ryan
Evelyn was the first child of Louis Estell Fagan, Officer U.S.M.C. and Evelyn Byrd Fagan (nee Harrison), daughter of George E. Harrison III of Brandon Plantation, James River, VA. A brother, Hugh Mercer Fagan was born in 1921.
In 1944 Evie married Squire W. Knowles in San Francisco. They had two children, and later divorced. She married George Benedict Ryan in 1949 and had one son who was born in New Orleans in 1950, followed by another son in 1952, and a third son in 1953. She and George divorced in 1959.
Preceded in death by her mother, son John and her brother Mercer.
Eve is survived by four children Mary; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
