FORREST GENE NICHOLS
Forrest Gene Nichols, Sullivan, passed away at 1:05 p.m. May 8, 2014, at the Breckenridge Nursing Home, Sullivan.
He was born July 11, 1929, in Paris, Ill., to Russell Riley Nichols and Leatha Fern Clark Nichols. Forrest was a 1947 graduate of Fairbanks High School, a farmer and Tech Inspector for the Indiana State Highway Commission.
He was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Hogg Nichols, whom he married June 4, 1947; two sisters, Elizabeth Newlin and Marjorie Foster; and one brother, Russell Henry Nichols.
Survivors include two sons, Rick (and Pat) Nichols, Sullivan, and Steve (and Helen) Nichols, Florida; and three daughters, Linda Criss, Sullivan, Marcy Nichols, Arkansas, and Lisa (and Paul) Chilton, Clinton.
There will be private graveside services for the immediate family in Pogue Cemetery. Holmes Memorial Chapel was entrusted with arrangements.
