William E. "Bill" Craven, 85, of Plainfield, passed away May 14, 2014. He was born February 22, 1929 in Mooresville, IN to the late Frank and Hazel Craven. He was a 1948 graduate of Clayton High School. Bill was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Plainfield. He retired from Howard Sams after many years as a manager. Funeral services were held Saturday, May 17, at 2:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, where friends gathered for calling from 12:00 noon until service time. Burial will be in Mooresville Cemetery. Survivors include his sister, Virginia Estes; nieces, Leslie Kaiser, Melinda Prock and Karen Sarvich; many great nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church.
